Phishing-Simulation

Phishing tests

In a phishing test, recipients receive fake fraudulent emails or phone calls to check whether they fall for the tricks used by criminals. This is intended to prevent security incidents.

This is how a phishing simulation works at Perseus:

  • In a simulated fraudulent email, we pretend to be a person known to the recipient or a service provider.
  • If the employee opens the link or attachment contained in the email or discloses confidential data, they have failed the test. -> They will now receive further training.
  • If the employee does not interact with the fraudulent email and, in the best case, forwards it to the security officer, the test is passed.
  • Shortly afterwards, the person is tested again with a different scam – as always, without any risk!
