Vrij vertaald betekent &#8220;hosted in Germany&#8221; &#8220;opgeslagen in Duitsland&#8221;.<\/p><h4> <\/h4><h4>Wat betekent &#8220;Gehost in Duitsland&#8221; in detail?<\/h4> <p>Gegevens die in Duitsland zijn opgeslagen, vallen onder de Duitse wet \u2013 de relatief strenge Duitse gegevensbeschermingswet, het Duitse burgerlijk wetboek (BGB) en HBG. De betreffende gegevens worden opgeslagen op Duitse servers, dat wil zeggen in een datacenter in Duitsland. Deze gegevens verlaten Duitsland niet tenzij u als klant hierom vraagt. Dit geldt ook voor buitenlandse autoriteiten, zolang er geen misdrijf heeft plaatsgevonden. In geval van een misdrijf moeten buitenlandse autoriteiten administratieve bijstand in Duitsland aanvragen en, indien nodig, beperkte toegang krijgen tot de benodigde gegevens volgens de Duitse wet. Dit wordt anders geregeld, bijvoorbeeld bij data die in de VS worden gehost: autoriteiten hebben daar toegang toegestaan.<\/p><p>Binnen het kader van de <a href=\"https:\/\/perseus.de\/2022\/04\/20\/eu-datenschutzgrundverordnung-dsgvo\/\">AVG<\/a> zijn er soms ook zeer strikte regels voor de bescherming van persoonsgegevens en hun opslag in een derde land. In dit opzicht is het voor Duitse bedrijven gemakkelijker om overeenkomstige gegevens in Duitsland op te slaan. Duitse datacenters vallen ook onder Duitse regelgeving als fysieke objecten. Bijvoorbeeld de relatief strenge brandbeveiligingsmaatregelen die ook gelden voor woongebouwen.<\/p><h4> <\/h4><h4>Waar kom ik dit onderwerp tegen in mijn dagelijkse werk?<\/h4> <p>Het kan zijn dat je dit onderwerp helemaal niet tegenkomt in je dagelijkse werk. Bijvoorbeeld, als je bedrijfsnetwerk, server en bedrijfswebsite al zijn opgezet. Maar misschien bevinden zich servers van je bedrijfsnetwerk op jouw locatie \u2013 dit wordt ook in Duitsland gehost. De bedrijfswebsite wordt vaak extern gehost door een gespecialiseerde provider, maar dit is ook een goede optie als <a href=\"https:\/\/perseus.de\/2022\/04\/19\/backup\/\">back-up<\/a>.<\/p><h4> <\/h4><h4>Wat kan ik doen om mijn beveiliging te verbeteren?<\/h4> <p>Je kunt de beveiliging van je data die in Duitsland wordt gehost verder verbeteren door aandacht te besteden aan:<\/p><ul><li>Meerdere back-ups bij de provider. Dit wordt vaak RAID genoemd, een afkorting van Redundant Array of Independent Disks.<br \/>Dagelijkse of zelfs meerdere dagelijkse back-ups aan de kant van de provider, inclusief databases.<\/li> Support <li>is 24 uur per dag beschikbaar, bijvoorbeeld telefonisch. Dit stelt u in staat om problemen zo snel mogelijk op te lossen indien nodig.<\/li> <li>Hoogst mogelijke beschikbaarheid, bijvoorbeeld 99,99%. Aangezien deze percentages \u00e9\u00e9n jaar bevatten, komt een vermindering van 1 procent in beschikbaarheid overeen met een storing van 3,5 dagen.<\/li> <li>Zogenaamde inbraakpreventiesystemen.
