Honeypots offer a good way to collect information about the actions of hackers in order to improve existing systems and security measures. As long as you are not a professional hacker, you will not encounter any digital honeypots in your everyday work. Nevertheless, you benefit indirectly from the existing honeypots: Usually, the information determined in this way is shared so that other companies, providers and the general public can also better protect themselves.
